Historic Silver Mine in Tarnowskie Góry is a unique mine on a global scale, where the first steam engine in Upper Silesia was launched, it allows to discover who the miners of Tarnowskie Góry were and learn what methods they used to extract treasures that nature left them. Only here it is possible to feel the atmosphere of old mining work and sail on boats along an underground river. It is the only monument in the Silesian Voivodeship included on the UNESCO World Heritage List and the first facility in the region with the Gold Certificate of the Polish Tourist Organisation. As a partner of our Conference, the Historic Silver Mine in Tarnowskie Góry will host our field trip showing Silesian MVT (Missisipi Valley Type) Pb-Zn-Ag deposits.
